My husband Leszek has PKD ( stands for polycystic kidney disease. His kidneys are 40 cm both , and his Health and kidneys have only 10 % left of function , with the help of dialysis and the Doctors at St. Joseph hospital , he can get the help that is needed for him.
Leszek will have to do dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours at a time , the drive there will be 11 miles from our home.

We are a polish - American citizen family , who have had a tragedy happen on January 1st of this year , 2015 , (my husband has stage 4 , polycystic kidney disease )(also known as PKD .with 12 percent function , left on his kidneys .new year day I decided to contact my husband' s kidney Doctor , cause he has been in bed feeling very sick since the middle of December , he's been in bed almost 24/ 7 , only to use the bathroom , get something to drink , his appetite he's lost almost completely , his both legs were and are swollen from the top down to his ankles and his belly is so big , because his kidney 's are at. 40 cm .
On Monday he had his first surgery to start dialysis , they had to get in his chest close to his heart to install the cathator .
He started dialysis on Monday right after surgery and he is on day three
of dialysis . he has lost his job , due to his illness , I am his sole caretaker , and we have twins 6 years old and a 10 year old child , anything you can donate will be a big help for the months to come .
My husband has a long way to recovery , he needs a kidney transplant and we are searching for a donor who will be
