Dear Friends and Family,
On Thursday March 26th, tragedy struck the Guerrero family. Our dearly loved friend Angelo lost his battle with the Coronavirus at the age of 51. The last time his beloved wife and son saw him was when he left their home to drive himself to the hospital after complaining of not feeling well. After one week on a ventilator, Angelo succumbed to the virus. Angelo left behind his sixteen-year-old son Harry, and his wife of 20 years, Afrodite. Their grief was and is compounded by the fact that Afrodite and Harry could not see him or be with him before he passed away.
Angelo and Afrodite both worked 6 days a week in order to provide a good life for their son. Angelo was a self-taught computer wizard and was always willing to help anyone with their tech problems. He was loved at his job managing a diner and will be sorely missed by all of his customers who were like family. Afrodite and Angelo both suffered some severe health issues in the recent past that cost them thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, after paying those medical bills, a very high monthly rent, health insurance and car insurance, there was very little left to save. There is no life insurance and scarce savings. Rent and monthly bills still need to be paid. Grieving the loss of a loving husband and father is difficult enough, but the added strain of financial uncertainties adds an excessive amount of stress on Afrodite.
Angelo’s passing has left a deep void in many people’s lives, especially Afrodites’ and Harrys’. We who loved Angelo and his family are trying to ease the financial and emotional burden that they are facing at this moment and in the future. Please know that all of your donations, big and small will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for your help.
