It is with incredible difficulty that I write this. On Thursday January 8th, my mom Sharon, passed away. If you had the privilege to know my mom, you know just how absolutely unique and amazing she was.

Over the past few years my mom was diagnosed with a vicious disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. It has been a long and gruesome battle. In November our family made the decision-per my moms request to move to in home hospice care. The decline was rapid and almost torturous. We went from having an incurable disease -to hospice with 6 months to love on her -to no more than a month later, expected but unexpectedly losing her.

The amount of outpouring support was indescribable. My mom was so loved and cared for.

I am not one to ask for help, it is not in my nature but even after what we have covered- the funeral expenses are immeasurably high. All I want, all we want, is to be able to send my mom off to her forever resting space with dignity and respect . Trying to navigate this has been hard and emotional. These are all things I would have leaned on my mom for, for guidance and help. I am trying to raise the rest of the cost to help peacefully say good bye to my mom, my first best friend, my whole world.
