It's impossible to not love Greta Schultz. A lunchlady at San Luis Obispo High School, she brings warmth, love, and thrill to our Cafeteria. Her impact on the students of SLOHS is immeasureable, as every kid who passed through the lunchline is greeted with a compliment, hug, or a hilarious story from Greta's wild life. She truly makes a difference on our campus. That is, until June 12, when she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
It's a miracle that her aneurysm was found, as usually this condition goes unnoticed until it becomes fatal. On September 4th, Greta underwent surgery at UCSF, and during the procedure, a second aneurysm was discovered. Both were removed, and she began recovering. But on September 17, her speech began to slur and she was rushed back to UCSF by ambulance. Once there, she was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a neuromuscular disease which leads to muscle weakness and fatigue. In her words, it inhibits her from doing her favorite two things: "Eating and talking."
Greta is currently facing significant medical bills as well as a number of physical and motor impairments. Please show support and appreciation for her with your donation. Thank you!
