On Friday August 29th Brooke and Jess were headed to bed at around 6:15pm. @6:28pm Jess made the 911 call after noticing very visible signs of a stroke. Brooke entered the ER with zero motor function on her right side and unable to speak. They’ve been able to determine after numerous tests, that she did in fact have a blood clot on the left side of her brain causing the stroke Jess witnessed. As of today, September 2st, she has regained about 80 percent of her movement. She is able to speak but is experiencing Aphasia as a result of the stroke. She is able to answer most yes or no questions and will need rehab to trigger the part of her Brain to form sentences to start reacting like normal again.

I will list them at the end of this post. The funds donated to any of the three listed above will all be used for our baby sitter, to cover a small part of their move that’s supposed to happen in 2 or 3 three weeks and anything that Brook’s insurance doesn’t cover. Things like a briefs, bed pads, maybe a walker, a bed rail for her side of the bed and more.
