Laila Edwards is going to the Olympics! On New Year's Eve, Laila received the call that was the culmination of a dream. Our daughter/sister is headed to Milan Cortina to compete with the US Women's Hockey Team in the 2026 Winter Olympic Games this February!

We want nothing more than to travel to Italy to support her in her Olympic dream! This just isn't something that we can afford to do on our own. So many communities have supported Laila throughout her years of hockey. We are asking for your help now so that we can be there to cheer Laila, to surround her with the love and support of family.

Charone, Laila's mom, has been there for Laila at every game to celebrate her successes and to support her in her challenges. In October, Charone and Chayla (Laila's sister and fellow teammate for three seasons and two championships at Wisconsin) were there when Laila suffered a MCL injury and she was there three weeks later when Laila was back on the ice. If we can't all go to support Laila, our top priority is for Charone and Chayla to be there as Laila's #1 supporter. To have Chayla and Charone there is the ideal!

Robert, her dad, Bobby, her older brother, and Britney, her oldest sister, would all love to be there for Laila, cheering her on in person on the world stage in Italy next month. (Younger brother Colson will be in Boston playing for the USPHL.)

Our family was there - including her grandmothers - when US Women's Hockey played Canada in Cleveland as part of the rivalry series in November. Her teammates could not believe the love and support Laila received from her hometown, dubbing her the "Queen of Cleveland." We were so proud that everyone saw Laila's kindness and character - and her excellent hockey. We want to surround her with that same love at the Olympics. We can only do it with your help!
