Hi, my name is Emily, and I’m here for someone very close to my heart — my dog, Lilo.
Lilo, who is just 5, is currently being rushed to Mississauga to for an emergency surgery at Lakeshore Animal Hospital that will save her life. She has been diagnosed with pyometra, a sudden and serious uterine infection. Without immediate surgery, she won’t survive.
The procedure and critical care are expected to cost over $10,000. While we’re doing everything we can, the cost is far more than we can manage on our own right now. It all happened so quickly. Just days ago she was her happy, energetic self and now we’re faced with the possibility of losing her.
I got Lilo during COVID, in a time when the world felt uncertain and lonely. From the moment she came into my life, she became family. She's been by my side through so many life changes, and has been a constant source of comfort, joy, and companionship. She’s not just a pet — she’s a huge part of who I am.
If you’ve ever met Lilo, you know she’s full of personality. She makes everyone laugh with her little quirks and stubborn Frenchie charm. She’s loving, expressive, and has the biggest heart packed into that little body. She’s the kind of dog who instantly feels like home.
My family and I are completely torn. This all happened so fast, and we just can’t imagine life without her. If you're in a position to donate or even just share this, it would mean more than my family and I can put into words. Every little bit will go toward her surgery and care, and toward giving her a chance to come home and keep being the light of our lives.
Thank you for reading and for supporting Lilo — she truly is one of a kind.
With love,
Emily & Lilo
