Justice for Mikaela

Recently, our daughter Mikaela Barboza was involved in a horrifying road-rage incident in which she was brutally beaten by two women with baseball bats.
Due to the head trauma that was sustained, she was rushed to the hospital where she underwent numerous tests. After a CAT scan and being seen by a plastic surgeon, she required several stitches and staples to her head. Still in excruciating pain the next day, we had to rush her back to the hospital where they discovered she had not only a concussion but her nose was broken and will need additional surgery in the near future.
Mikaela is a single mother raising a 3 year old daughter, and because she is without insurance, she will be unable to afford the medical expenses that will be incurred for the surgery.
Because no arrests have been made, she is fully responsible for not only the hospital bills but for her nose surgery and any future medical bills. She will also be out of work for an unsustainable amount of time.
