I'm hoping to raise funds to finance writing time for my second novel, TRANSIT FIELDS, which tells how tourism was introduced to the island of Bali by a series of invasions: first by the colonial Dutch, then the Indonesian government, and finally mass tourism. The story is told as a saga, through Balinese and foreign characters, with the same deep flavors of Bali found in my first novel, THE PAINTED ALPHABET.
