My brother Logan attempted suicide back in Oct of 2017. He was just 13 years old. He was hospitalized and in partial hospitalization for almost 2 months. My mom, who is a single mother, was caring for him on her own and had to take time off work until he was stable enough to go to other family members for care and constant supervision. Between the cost of the hospitalization and taking time off work a financial strain was placed on our family. In an effort to make things better we moved to a less expensive area and a place where Logan could receive better follow up care. While getting this in place Logan’s severe depression and anxiety caused a replapse causing him to be hospitalized again in May 2018. My mom was out of work again dealing with the mental stress and caring for Logan during this time as we have no family in the area. Although she has applied for Family Care assistance through the state we have yet to see anything and are now facing eviction as we have not been able to pay any household bills with any money we had going towards treatment and gas back and forth to hospital. We would appreciate any help you can offer in just assisting with our monthly household expenses until my Mom can return to work this month.
