Get Lindsay through Chemo & Back Behind the Chair
First, the good news: our dear friend (and favorite stylist to many) is on the road to recovery from a super rare form of cancer discovered in her sinuses more than a month ago. Much of the cancer was successfully removed during surgery and she is in the capable hands of experts at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic.
The bad news: her road to recovery will be long, expensive and tiresome. She’s going to be receiving treatment at Mayo for six weeks — after already being gone from work for a month — followed by several more weeks of recovery when she is able to return home. Her husband, Shawn, has also been forced to take significant time off from work to be by Lindsay’s side throughout it all.
SO, Lindsay and Shawn (and their two pups, Yeti and Thor!) need our support. This is our chance to step up and help with the bills that are piling up. Insurance only covers so much, and certainly won’t help with the day-to-day finances.

Lindsay’s story…
Lindsay started having extremely severe watering eyes and non stop bloody noses, but nobody could figure out what was going on. When the doctors finally went in with a scope to investigate further, they immediately set her up with an otolaryngologist (ENT ear nose and throat specialist) in Fargo.
After a few trips to Fargo for testing, it was confirmed that it was carcinoma — and worse, the cancer had started to spread into Lindsay’s brain. So, they quickly decided the best course of action was to do surgery to remove as much of the cancer as they could. They set the surgery up for a few weeks later.
While she waited back home for her surgery, Lindsay’s condition worsened what seemed like on a daily basis. Growing more fatigued & tired by the day. One day her husband, Shawn, noticed she was completely off and more lethargic than ever before, so he knew he had to take her to the ER. Upon their arrival at the ER, Lindsay was immediately air lifted to Fargo and surgery was pushed up to a few days from then.
Luckily, the surgery went well and they are happy with how much of the cancer they were able to remove, but she still has a long road ahead of her. She started both proton radiation and two types of chemo in Mayo. She will have to be in Mayo for six weeks for the treatments, followed by recovery and recuperation upon returning home.
