Hello, my name is Joe Mullaney. I have studied martial arts for forty two years, since I was 10 years old. I have dedicated my life to teaching the art of building self esteem, confidence, strength in the mind and body of children, adults, the military and law enforcement of America.
Twenty three years ago my son, Justice Freedom Mullaney, was born with Periventricular Leakomalicia, with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, including Spastic Quadriplegic, he is blind in one eye, as well as multiple other disabilities.
He will need assistance to live and will always need assistance with daily life and activities for the rest of his life. The list is great.
I am writing this because I have a dream of building a house that will be all one level and totally wheelchair accessible. At this time I need to manually walk him to the bathroom to shower and use the facility. I am not getting any younger and all the tasks are getting harder to fulfill. This house I am building will have an apartment for a caregiver when I am no longer able to care for him. This will be my son’s forever house. This house will be built for him to be the most self-sufficient he can be. It will be put in a trust for his life that will allow him to live and stay in the community he has grown up in. For him to have a community surrounding him that knows him is crucially important for his well-being. In the future there will be room for others like him who can live there.
This is your opportunity to make things better for an incredibly happy, loving young man.
Thank you for your time and generosity.
