Yesterday around 4pm, my son’s friend from school had his house burn down due to faulty electrical wiring. My son was walking to see his friend when he saw the smoke. He immediately ran to the home, got his friend and his baby sister, so his friend can call and alert his parents. The Fire Dept was called, but they were unable to save anything from the home. The Red Cross helped them with a place for a week or so. My son's friend is staying with me so he can continue going to school, but they are in need of clothes (school uniforms), shelter expenses, toiletries, dog food, etc. They lost everything in the fire. I wish there was more I could do to help them. They are now a family of 4 with pets without a home or anything whatsoever. If you can find it in your hearts to donate to this wonderful family, I’m gonna do my best to be there for them as they have been wonderful to my son. They are really some great people, and I hate that this happened to them. Please keep them in your prayers as they go through this trying time.
