Duke's Surgery
Donation protected
Hey guys,
First of all, thanks for all the support Duke and I have received already. Holey moley we are so lucky to have so many amazing people in our lives!!
As many know, I adopted Duke a year ago. He was a stray dog dumped in the middle of no where in the Yukon and when he was found he had some obvious trauma to his leg. He was able to walk and run fine so nothing was thought of it.
Now a year later, he has a massive limp and the Xray shows that his femur looks like someone snapped it over their knee like a stick.
We are going down to Victoria to have a consult for surgery with an orthopedic specialist in the next week to two weeks and then will have a plan on how to properly go ahead with surgery.
I have been told the estimate of this whole thing is going to be around $10, 000, minimum. Anyone that knows Duke I think would agree that it is worth the money to have his leg fixed. He is almost 3 and is the sweetest boy.
I am hoping to raise anything to help cover the cost as I am a nursing student and have been unable to work this past school year due to the high time demand school required.
I am the last to ask for help for anything but I realized with the amount of people asking how to help Duke- this GoFundMe page was the answer. Any and all contributions are so so so appreciated.
I am also collecting bottles to do a bottle drive if you can't contribute financially but have some I can pick up. You can email me to arrange.
Thank you again to everyone who has already contributed and for those that are going to in the future.
Love you all.
