Hi, I'm Marybeth and many of you may know me from around the winery and the office. Missy Van Der Vijver was my very dear friend, as she was to many others. For three years following her cancer diagnosis, we watched as she fought to stay in this life that she loved so much, continuing to work hard and play harder, as the doctors tried everything to keep her with us. Missy loved winning, hated to lose, and winning was the side she was usually on, both as a defense attorney and as a card player.

But, this time it was not to be. Cancer got the better of Missy a week ago, and anyone that knew her is feeling the world as a smaller place. None so much as her husband, Robert, and son, Sascha. Navigating a world without her is proving to be challenging and we would like to help them in whatever way we can.

The outpouring of love and support has been very much appreciated, and to those who've asked "How can we help," please join us in this effort to ease some of Missy's family's immediate financial needs. Sharing this is also greatly appreciated. 

Also, please know that when you donate, you will see that it benefits me (Marybeth Thames). I can completely assure you that it does NOT and all the money we raise here will go directly to Robert and Sascha. I can't seem to be able to change that on the donate page.
