As many of you know, Josh was in a motorcycle accident on July 31.
He survived the initial crash but not without multiple injuries. His injuries were serious, including a fractured scapula, multiple broken ribs along with a frightening diagnosis that he may lose his right leg. He has undergone multiple surgeries with many more to come and the road to recovery, with some sense of normalcy returning one day, will be long and very difficult.
Infection has recently set in his leg and he is not out of the woods. The doctors are doing all they can to save his leg, but that is requiring more hospital time, more operations, and a much longer road to recovery. The infection has to be clear before any reconstruction on his knee can begin, and he is weeks away from that, enduring a wound vac and weekly hospital trips.
It is a cliche, but true in this case. Anyone who knows Josh knows he would give the shirt off his back, if needed, without giving it a second thought.
While he has insurance, his medical bills are alarmingly increasing every day. He will need to pay out of pocket over $600 per week once he is allowed to start physical therapy. That is on top of the surgeries, overnight hospital stays and medication. With more surgeries and intense therapy ahead, he will not be able to return to work for some time. Because of the amount of time off work, as you might imagine, paying non-medical bills day to day is also becoming a concern.
It is difficult to ask for help, but this is where we are. If you are able to donate, he will be eternally grateful.
thank you.
