Christian's Recovery

Hello family and friends,

As many of you know, last Thursday afternoon I was admitted to the hospital with severe stomach cramping, nausea, and body soreness. I thought it was just a really bad stomach ache in the morning but as the day progressed, so did the pain. Turns out I had a hernia that caused a blockage in my intestines. Doctors had to do emergency hernia repair with bowel resection. During surgery, I went into septic shock and had to be put on a ventilator to let my body rest. I was in the ICU for a few days. Thankfully I am off the vent and I am in recovery in Med/Surg.

The timing of this health emergency couldn't be worse, as I am in between jobs and without health insurance or short-term financial coverage. I have met with the hospital finance administrator and I am very worried about covering all of my hospital bills and living expenses during recovery. The next few months will be very difficult to get through.

With prodding from friends I have agreed to humble myself and ask for help here. If you are in a position to help me, I will be very grateful.
