I want to tell you about one of the sweetest people I know. Heath Jenkins lives in Waverly Hall, Georgia, out in the country with his beloved cats. He has been disabled since the age of 17, but would happily give you the shirt off His back if he thought it would help you. Today, June 9, 2020, he went to a doctor’s appointment. By the time he got home, his house had burned to the ground. We still don’t know what caused the fire, but everything is gone. Everything. Including the love of his life, his 8-year-old kitty, Sheba. He has very minimal insurance and lives on a very small disability income. The goal here is to help him raise a down payment on a new place to live (or rent in the meantime), some basic furniture, and clothing, since all he has left is what he wore to the appointment.
