Kyle's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Many people have asked how they can help or contribute during Kyle’s prolonged illness and recovery, so in response I have created this opportunity to do so. Also, a great big thank you to those who have already contributed before I got this set up. Thank you for your help; it means so much! Here’s what happened…

In mid-December, Kyle & I traveled out to Michigan to be with Kyle's dad, who was on hospice care. We got some good time with him, and he passed away in early January. Meanwhile, we both got quick sick around New Year's Day. I have since recovered, but Kyle landed in the hospital in intensive care on January 11, just 3 days after his dad passed away.

He spent 4 weeks in Intensive Care, and an additional week in the hospital. It was really scary for a while there. But thank God that with much prayer for healing, much love & support, as well as fantastic medical care, he is now improving! It will take quite a while for him to make a full recovery, as he is very weak from his ordeal, but he has since transferred to a rehab hospital, where he is healing and making steady progress.

There are many costs associated with a prolonged illness, and they may be different for each person. Many factors affect our need for funds, and they include Kyle’s loss of the ability to work for a prolonged period of time, and my inability to work as I have “lived” at the hospital for 6 weeks and counting. When we don’t work, we don’t bring in the money that is used to pay us. Unfortunately, for the past 2 years, our income has been profoundly negatively affected by pandemic-related circumstances, so we are entering this phase of illness from a place of precarious financial weakness. Also, there are several upcoming substantial medical costs associated with Kyle’s recovery & rehabilitation that are on the horizon as this process continues.

I do ask for your support in standing with us so that Kyle can make a 100% recovery. I know that this is entirely possible, and look forward to Kyle being every bit his same capable self.  We are so grateful for the many prayers for healing and restoration, and ask for continued prayers, as well as well-wishes and encouragements. But we really could use the financial support as well, and are grateful if that’s something you feel you could offer at this time.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 by May 31 to help with lost income and medical expenses associated with Kyle’s prolonged illness & hospitalization, and your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you! ~Beth Bultman

P.S. Some have asked for an address to which you can send cards, etc. so that's 67 Pembroke St. Rochester, NY 14620. (We are now home in western New York state after over 3 1/2 months of being in Michigan ... a little longer than we had planned to be away!)
