Randy's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
This past weekend our dear friend and family member Randy was involved in a severe Motorcycle accident. He is alive, awake and happy, but has unfortunately suffered the loss of his right arm. In true Randy fashion he has already been cracking one arm jokes.
Although he is strong and is in great spirits, it's going to be a huge adjustment to his life that will take a lot of rehabilitation. It will be a process for him to learn to go through his everyday life without the function of his right arm, but he is hopeful and optimistic. Besides injury to his arm, Randy also obtained a fractured foot, jaw, pelvis, as well as a lung contusion. He is currently in the ICU at UCI Medical Center undergoing treatment and multiple surgeries until he can get back to as normal as possible over the next few weeks.
We are asking for whatever you can do to help Randy. Every dollar will be accounted for and will go towards returning Randy to a somewhat normal life and spending time with people he loves. We welcome any motivating and inspirational stories. We also welcome any information about case studies or scientific research trials that Randy may be able to participate in related to the loss of his right arm and potential for prosthetics.
Randy is a loving father to his newborn son Sebastian, a partner to the mother of his child Stephanie, and a kind hearted friend and a loved family member to so many. When he is not with his family, he spends his time pursuing his passion of making music with his band Rebel ShakeDown. He has been singing and songwriting with the band for the past 1.5 years and has released 4 songs with them. He would be enlightened if you lent your ears and took a listen to his four songs: "Moonlight", "The Sound", "Lover's Rock" and "Hit Song" by Rebel ShakeDown.
We will keep all donations transparent and will be posting periodical updates about how your donations have helped Randy. Some of the costs he will be incurring are listed below:
-Medical Bills (the obvious one) With or without insurance Co-Pays and Deductibles add up big time!
-Prosthetic Arm / Cosmetics - Some insurances may not cover all or ANY of these costs.
-Caregiving and providing for his 6 month baby Sebastian
-Future Surgeries/Procedures
-Loss of Income - disability payments only make up a small percentage of what he needs to support his child.
-Rent/Housing of course
Thank you so much for your love and support in Randy's needing time.
With Love and Thanks,
Randy's beloved friends, family and band members.
