Monday, we lost the most amazing father anyone could ever ask for. My dad was surrounded by his children when he peacefully passed.
There will be a Wake for Dad on Friday, March 25th, between 5-9pm. The funeral services will be Saturday, March 26th, at 10:30am, followed by a Procession and burial at Forest Lawn Covina. The Wake and Service will be at Douglas & Zook Chapel of the Foothills.

There will also be a reception at Dad's house after the funeral. Please forward this information on to anyone you think may want to come.
Our dad needs your help...
As some of you may know, our father, Rick Buckelew was diagnosed with cancer last summer. He is a true fighter and has been positive every step of the way. At the moment, he is in a rehabilitation facility after having a nasty fall and fracturing his back. We are looking into sending him home to spend his last days with his family. Unfortunately, to send him home requires home care services, which we cannot afford. Being covered under the VA does not support these funds. In short, we have created this GoFundMe to help get our dad home.
Rick Buckelew has always been a strong and loving man. If I say so myself, the best dad anyone could ever ask for. He would do anything for all of his children and always puts us first. He has been battling cancer for the last 6 months to get more time with his 8 children and 10 beautiful grandchildren. He would do anything to get more time with his family, but unfortunately he is confined to his room at the VA rehabilitation center.
Our funds would be used to provide our father with the care he needs to come home. He is in need of a home nurse as he can no longer care for himself. He does not have the use of the left side of his body and needs assistance doing almost all tasks. We are hoping to save up enough money to get him home as soon as possible.
Getting our father home to spend time with the family means more to us than anything. At the moment we are all taking turns coming up to the VA to spend as much time as we can, but are not able to be here 24 hours a day. He needs to be home with his family. Please help us achieve this goal.
