We are one of just a few genuine and well-established initiatives in the country collaborating with the authorities and qualified local volunteering vets.

Please donate in support of the dogs of Jinja.

Activities since 2018

1. setting up free dog sterilization and vaccination clinics in communities in and around Jinja, Uganda. The aim is to reduce the population of stray dogs in Jinja in an animal-friendly manner. The authorities deal with this by simply killing by poisoning. We intend to curtail this.

2. rescue of homeless dogs and puppies: we keep them and find homes for them or transport them to USPCA-Kampala which is the only dog shelter nearby.

As of 7th August 2024 we are sheltering a total of 20 previously homeless dogs.

Any donations will be appreciated and will go entirely towards funding the ongoing activities of Jinja Dog Rescue. We shall keep all donors informed of our ongoing activities.
