After the terrible hit that the City of Lake Charles took from Hurricane Laura, leaving families (like my own) without a home or livable conditions to return to, we suffered a tremendous tragedy the following day. We loss 4 family members sudden and unexpectedly. My grandmother (Rosalie Lewis), my aunt (Kim Evans), my uncle (Chris Evans), and other uncle (Clyde Handy) were all killed due to carbon monoxide poisoning. My grandfather (John Charles Lewis, Sr.) was also in the home and is currently in critical condition on 100% life support. The hospital is telling us that there is a low chance of recovery for him. We appreciate all of the condolences and prayers but we also ask that if you are able to please donate to our family at this time. We are in need of help with funeral and burial costs, as well as medical bills for my grandfather. The loss of our family members on top of the loss of our homes and community is leaving us with nowhere to turn but to our friends who are willing and able to help. Anything helps us at this time.
