Hi my name is Emma and I am fundraising for my son, Teddie, to give him the best possible send off that he so rightly deserves.

Sadly, Teddie was diagnosed with a Mitochondrial Disease at the age of 2. Mitochondrial diseases are a group of genetic conditions that affect how mitochondria in your cells produce energy. Mitochondria produce most of the energy your body needs. If you have a mitochondrial disease, your cells aren’t able to produce enough energy. There isn’t a cure, but treatment can help prevent life-threatening complications.

Teddie fought so bravely against this disease and defied all odds for as long as he could, even when doctors said that he wouldn't. Despite many hospital visits over the years and more recently in the last few months, with numerous operations, Teddie continued to smile, as he always did.

Teddie was loved by so many people and has even touched the hearts of those who never met him. This speaks volumes about how special my boy truly is.

Any funds given will be greatly appreciated and go towards giving my Super Ted the day that he deserves and the most beautiful resting place, with a special headstone that emphasizes just how loved he is.
