Hello all , my name is Brooklyn Orr. My oldest sister bayleigh long was admitted into the hospital this morning, with a severe kidney infection caused by a massive blockage. After days of managing what she thought was your typical UTI, she became unable to walk, breathe, or function properly. She was in such excruciating pain , needed to be seen. They have now discovered a large kidney stone resulting in complete blockage. She was taken into emergency surgery in order to attempt to place a stent that would relieve the pressure and allow the infection and urine to drain. They were unable to do so, which lead to a much more invasive surgery, causing her to now have a tube inserted through her back directly into her left kidney. Unable to remove the blockage until the infection is cleared, she will remain with the tube until further notice. Obviously as a wife and mother of two kiddos, this will be quite the task for bayleigh, continuing her day to day life after discharge. They have no medical insurance, or paid time off in order to be with bayleigh, she’s unable to communicate for herself & needs someone with her at all times , so you can imagine the financial burden they will face.
