Aloha Family & Friends,

I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Kaila, and her sweet dog Chief. Yesterday, Chiefs was at a park in Hilo with our mom while they were having lunch. He suddenly got loose from his leash and darted across the very busy Kamehameha highway. Sadly, Cheif was hit by a car and suffered a major back leg injury. He was taken to the vet immediately and was seen on an emergency basis. They determined that his back left tibia had been completely crushed. Fortunately, there is no internal damage and emergency orthopedic surgery could save Chiefs leg. However, this comes at a high cost to cover surgery, and all other medical expenses for our Chiefy Boy. The emergency visit alone has cost over $1000 and to save Chiefs legs we are looking at about $3800 not including medication.

On behalf of my sister Kaila, my mom and our sweet boy Chief, We are asking for help in raising the money for this surgery. These expenses are completely unexpected and come during a rough time financially, so any donation will be truly and greatly appreciated with all our hearts.
