Marissa, my daughter has had medical issues all of her life. She is a Type 1 diabetic since age 4 and has other medical issues. Through it all, she has achieved a master's degree in psychology, is a wonderful mother of two beautiful children and a devout partner who loves and cares about her friends and family. Last Saturday, after weeks of non-stop headaches, Marissa went to the ER where they discovered a fluid draining and pressure building issue inside her brain. Emergency surgery was performed to save her life and 2 days later she underwent another procedure to correct the drainage issue. While struggling with the aftermath of a traumatic brain injury Marissa shows signs of steady cognitive improvement. She needs all of the prayers and well wishes she can get as her recovery will be a long road. Obviously, this situation has created a financial burden for her and her family.
