Unhoused Community Donation Fund

Thanks to your donations, Kingston Peace Council and Katarowki Union of Tenants have been able to hold regular BBQs at the Integrated Care Hub (ICH) with hundreds of meals served a month since it began.

Big thanks again to the staff of the ICH for helping us along and for all those who have donated money and items for those in need! Kingston's housing, and certainly Canada's as a whole is in a state of severe crisis. For evidence of this one can merely look out the window-if you've followed housing struggles in Ontario recall the recent and horrifically violent evictions occurring at Lamport Stadium in Toronto. This is a problem quite literally at our doorstep.

Please consider a donation to our fund so we can continue to serve nutritious weekly meals and purchase items for these people. If enough support for this is gained we will be making regular BBQs in other Kingston neighbourhoods where our presence is needed. As gentrification makes the cost of living increasingly untenable in Kingston, our fight for those housed and unhoused will be harder than ever.

Until now we have raised over $8000.00 CAD with every penny of it being used to purchase items and shelter for those in need. Check out a few pictures below for examples of where the donations have gone:

If you own a grocery store or small business, or know someone that does- please consider an in-kind donation of food or supplies to go towards this initiative!
