Dear Family & Friends,

Our journey began Wednesday February 16, 2022 when my nephew James was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. He fought through many complications including a stroke, brain bleed and a pulmonary embolism. James had to do lots of physical therapy to learn to walk again due to the left side of his body being affected by the stroke. Fast forward to June 2024, James made a full recovery and so we thought he was in the clear. He had is last chemo treatment then went on a family vacation on his first ever cruise!

This brings us to August 28th, the day James was scheduled to finally ring the bell. With his family surrounded by his side for this exciting time, he rang the bell. But what we didn’t know was on this same day before he rang the bell, is routine bloodwork came back abnormal and so he had to be admitted to the hospital right after the celebration. The next day, we learned his cancer was back. Now he will be undergoing aggressive treatment and will need a bone marrow transplant, which will require nicole and james to travel to the city to get the transplant.

Please consider donating to James's recovery fund, sharing this story with others, and keeping him in your prayers for a healthy fast recovery. The money will be used for things such as food, gas, and help with bills for his mother Nicole (and maybe a few Lego’s for James to keep him busy!) Unfortunately she is a single parent which makes this even harder for her and she is unable to work during this time and is unsure as to when she will be able to go back to her job. 

Although this is devastating news, we are keeping our hopes up and James will win the fight for second and FINAL time!!
