My name is Samantha Hodge & I am making this gofundme to help my family with medical bills & our everyday living expenses. My husband Matthew was in a Dirt Bike accident Oct. 13th and had to be flown to Baptist Hosptial in Winston NC! He has a broken C5 vertebrae in his neck and spinal cord injury spanning from the C2 vertebrae to the C7 vertebrae. He underwent surgery in the early morning Oct.14th to remove the C5 vertebrae and they inserted a cage device with rods & screws to stabilize his neck. We are still praying for the best outcome. We are praying for the full recovery of feeling and movement from the neck down. We have 2 small children at home ages 2yrs & 3 months old. He was our only source of income and has no medical insurance. We hate asking for help but we are going to need all the support we can get in this long road of recovery. If you cant donate we at least need the prayers!

Update:Oct.15th Matthew has some movement in his arms, they are not controlled yet but this is a big step! His breathing is under control which is another huge step! He is in alot of pain as to be expected but working on his recovery 1 small step at a time. He is thankful for everyone's prayers & kind words. Please keep them coming in the next few days ahead of him as they try to start some physical therapy/occupational therapy. He is ready to see him babies and working hard to be able to hold them in his arms again! Thank you to everyone!
