Athena’s Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Tomi. Most of you know my fiancé Gary, and if you know Gary you know Athena. I have organized this fundraiser for him because Athena needs lots of help and lots of prayer.

Early this morning she had to undergo emergency surgery, and despite the doctors best effort, things did not

go according to plan. She was further injured during the surgery which resulted in hemorrhaging meaning she needed to receive plasma. The surgery was originally quoted at $3,500 but will likely go up as a result of the complications that occurred and the additional care she will need to receive.

Athena is well loved by not only her family, but several members of the community. If you’re familiar with the Emerald Isle area she is some what of a celebrity. She always greets everyone, and she knows no stranger. She has lots of love to give to anyone that encounters her!

If you’re able, please help us bring her home to her family, her tiny human and her 4 legged best friend. We’re days away from her first birthday, and the only wish we have is to see her come out of this stronger than ever.
