Help Me Get to Dance College

Hello! My name is Emer Haughton and I am 19 years old. I recently completed a full time 2 year diploma course at the College of Dance, Kimmage. I was lucky enough to be accepted into London Studio Centre, one of the most prestigious dance colleges in the UK. Unfortunately the fees for this programme of study are very expensive and I can't afford to pay them. Additionally, there are no discretionary funds available in Ireland for undergraduate dance study nor are there any local institutions that would provide the same quality of training. As a result of this, I have started this crowd funding project to contribute a portion of the total cost of the fees. I really appreciate your consideration and thank you for visiting this page. I started dancing at the age of 3 with the Debbie Allen School of Dance. Whilst training there I studied ballet, character and modern theatre dance. I completed my grade exams with the Royal Academy of Dance as well as taking several vocational exams and performing regularly. When I was 14 I successfully auditioned for the Irish National Youth Ballet Company and have been performing with them twice a year since then. I started at the College of Dance 2 years ago, where I trained full time in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, vocal studies and Pilates. Dance is such a huge part of my life and it would be a dream come true to be able to train at such a prestigious college, so any contributions, big or small, would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
