On February 10th, my husband was stopped by the police in Portland while on his way to work. Shortly after, he was turned over to ICE. This situation came as a complete shock and changed our lives within hours.
I am now alone, doing everything I can to support our three children and keep our family afloat. They depend entirely on us and do not understand why their father is no longer home.
In addition to the emotional pain, we are facing overwhelming financial hardship. The truck he was driving was impounded, and I cannot retrieve it because it is not in my name. I am also struggling to cover rent, food, utilities, and legal expenses while we work to resolve this situation.
We are a hardworking family from Mexico who have always done our best to live with honesty and dedication. We never imagined we would face something like this.

El pasado 10 de febrero, mi esposo fue detenido por la policía en Portland cuando se dirigía a su trabajo. Poco después, fue entregado a ICE. Esta situación nos tomó completamente por sorpresa y cambió nuestra vida en cuestión de horas.
Ahora me encuentro sola, tratando de mantener a flote a nuestra familia y sacar adelante a nuestros tres hijos. Ellos dependen completamente de nosotros y no entienden por qué su papá ya no está en casa.
Además del impacto emocional, estamos enfrentando una carga económica muy difícil. La camioneta en la que él viajaba fue llevada al corralón y no puedo recuperarla porque no está a mi nombre. También tengo que cubrir renta, comida, servicios y gastos legales mientras tratamos de resolver esta situación.
Somos una familia trabajadora, originaria de México, que siempre ha luchado con esfuerzo y honestidad. Nunca imaginamos atravesar algo así.
Hoy, con humildad y esperanza, pido su apoyo. Cualquier contribución, grande o pequeña, hará una diferencia enorme para mis hijos y para mí en este momento tan difícil. Si no pueden donar, les agradezco profundamente que compartan nuestra historia.
