On August 23, 2015, the Townsend family suffered an unimaginable loss when their son/brother/father of 3, Samuel "Dean" Townsend 43, lost his life in a tragic car accident.  As the Townsends begin the heartbreaking task of putting Dean to rest, we are asking for donations to assist with funeral and other miscellaneous costs.  Our goal is to help lessen the financial burden so the family can focus on each other, healing, and honoring Dean's memory. 

Danny Townsend, Dean's baby brother, has taken on most of the responsibility during this difficult time.  The family is very close knit and have always been very involved in each others lives.  If you know Danny, you'd probably heard his stories of family and how his big brother, sat beside him  on the family porch after a day at work. No doubt Danny will miss Dean.

Danny has worked  at UF for many years and we consider him family .  Helping family is what Gators do!   We know Danny would do the same for us and ask you to give whatever you can in this time of need.
