Hi,

My name is Kari.

I run a restaurant full of  100 REALLY GREAT people.

The thing about restaurants, is that you become family....really, really fast. You see these people day in and day out - the best, and the worst of each other.

We've all been told by someone to "Leave our personal life at the door" - I don't agree with this at all.

We're human - and in order to full express as our human selves we need to continue our process of....whatever is that we're going through that day.

Well, one our favorite humans is smack dab in the middle of one of these processes.  As a request to honor their privacy during this time, I will only say that this human has brought all of us a lot of love, and a lot of laughs.  He / She is in a human process so deep and filled with grief that he / she does not have the option to come through the door, let alone "leave it there" and they need our help. 

He / She needs our  support as they take time to process this hardship . One that is full of incredible loss  deep, profound, painful, and illuminating at the same time.

He / She will need financial support in order to take time away from work, help provide for family, and pay for costs associated with this tragedy.   I know they would very much appreciate the love from all of you. They would do the same.
