My name is Lueshen Wellington, and I was born and raised in Black River, Jamaica.

A few days ago, Hurricane Melissa tore through my hometown and left behind heartbreaking destruction. Many families lost everything — their homes, clothes, food, and all the essentials that make daily life possible.

I am starting this fundraiser because I can’t just stand by and watch. I want to help provide food, clean water, clothing, and other essentials to those who need them most. Every bit of support whether through donations or by sharing this page will help the people of Black River to begin rebuilding and finding hope during this difficult time.
