My Breast Cancer journey starts here..
I am 31 and have been recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
It all started with a little lump (measuring at 1cm in 2023) that doctors assured me was "no big deal".
I noticed some changes and was referred to have an ultrasound in January, 2024. This little lump had grown to 4cm.
As the lump was continuing to grow, I was referred to Clayton Hospital to have a biopsy in April, 2024. The doctor advised me it was called a Fibroadenoma - it didn't need to be removed and it was nothing to be concerned about. I knew in my gut that I needed a second opinion as I felt like something was wrong.
That second doctor walked in and said it needed to be removed urgently as it was “aggressive” and “fast growing”.
I had my surgery in August, 2024 which revealed that I have Invasive Cancer.
I’m going to require weekly hospital appointments, Chemo, Radiation & Hormone Therapy and with the ongoing medical bills and loss of work and income - any help and support is going to be very much appreciated.
My whole life is about to change.
