It is with heavy hearts that we say our final good bye to Efrain Monzon aka Frank. My brother passed away Sunday night, January 24, 2016. Fortunately, he was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing: his daughters, girlfriend, sister, mother, and myself. Thank you for the tremendous amount of love, prayers and support shown from his friends and family.
Frank fought until the end. He did not go quietly. Through the University of Maryland Medical Center he was blessed to receive a liver donation and underwent a transplant on December 3, 2015. The surgery went well, he was progressing fine and we were all hopeful that his recovery would be a success. He was given a second chance at life. Unfortunately on December 28th he was readmitted to the hospital with complications to his kidneys and during his long hospital stay contracted an infection as well which was very persistent. He couldn't overcome the infection and several other major organs started to fail as a result. Efrain fought very hard but at the young age of 54 lost his battle.
He was full of life and always made us smile when he was around. He will be sorely missed by us all.
Please help us in raising funds to cover Frank's funeral expenses so that we can give him the burial he deserves. We are asking for his friends and family to come together to help our family in a time of need and share our GoFundMe page. Every little bit will help.
Thank you very much for your kindness and donations. God bless you and yours.
