Move to Washington
Hi. My name is Becky and I have 2 Chihuahuas, Milo (pictured) and Kida. I moved down to Arizona in December of 2019 from Washington to try and start nursing school and make a life for myself and my dogs. The pandemic started shortly after. My mental health is now the worst it has ever been and I am trying to get help but I have constantly run into barriers. After trying to get help since September of 2020 and still receiving none my life has completely fallen apart. I lost 2 jobs and I am being evicted from apartment on 7/7/2021. My vehicle is having issues and since I’ve been here in Arizona I’ve had to do over $2000 worth of repairs and it is now having new issues with the fuel pump. A friend has offered to let me stay with her in Washington but I am terrified my car will not make it and I have no income. I don’t even have the gas money to get there. I have applied for unemployment several times only to be rejected. I am currently going through the appeal process but I will not have a resolution before I have to leave my apartment. I have no family here in Arizona and no close friends that can help or that I can stay with. I have reached out to immediate family as well but most of us are going through hard times. My only source of income at this point is Door Dash and with the heat being at 117 degrees and my car in bad shape it is getting more and more difficult to make money. I have nowhere else to turn and I never thought I would be in this position. It’s so hard for me to ask for help because I just want to be able help others. I am honestly terrified I won’t be able to get to Washington and I need help badly. Thank you for reading and any help is appreciated more than you will ever know.
