My wife Judy is a nurse case manager at a Boston Hospital and had a knee replacement surgery just prior to Thanksgiving. She developed several massive blood clots to her lungs and almost died. She was placed on life saving ECMO but almost cardiac arrested several times. She survived and was sent to rehab where began to bleed from one of her ECMO sites, she was airlifted back to a Boston Hospital and has required numerous surgeries.
Now here knee is infected and they will have to take out the hardware and redo the knee.
Husband Paul has a chronic leukemia and has lost his right leg and is wheelchair bound. Disability pays very little...
We would like to continue paying the mortgage and keep a roof over our heads once Judy comes home. Otherwise we will be homeless as we have little in the way for support otherwise.
