This morning i received a call from a friend of mine, Aimee, about a dog that she passed while she was working that looked to have beem dead on the side of the road. Upon second glance in her rear view mirror, shr noticed him slightly lift his head up. She called me immediatelty to come get him. Without hesitation, i jumped in the car with blankets, towels, and water and headed towards where she said he was. Without Aimees quick reaction to call me, he for sure would have been dead. I found this boy on the side of the road left for dead after being hit by a car. Upon arrival, we thought we were too late but as i got close, he opened his eyes enough to look at me. He was lifeless other than shaking from the cold. My mom and i wrapped him in towela and blankets and with the help of a very nice grove city police officer we loaded him into my jeep. He was in critical condition and severely hypothermic and in serious shock. I rushed him to medvet. He is microchipped and the owner came but can't afford the bills to save his life so he signed over his rights to me because I refuse to let him die. He has a long road to recovery and i can use all the help i can get. The vet bills are upwards of $3000 right now. I just couldn't leave this poor boy for dead. He is currently being hospitalized at medvet hilliard on Renner road and were visiting as much as we can. I appreciate any donation anyone is able to give towards his recovery. Every single dollar counts. Ill provide updates and pictures throughout his recovery. If you arent able to donate, your thoughts and prayers are appreciated just as much. Thank you all so much.
