Please Help Linda

Today we had to make the very hard decision to spend all the money (plus more than we actually have), to help Linda. And now our kitty (forgive the pun, it's been a tough day) is empty.

We would be extremely grateful if you could help us out by donating anything you have spare.

But who's Linda?

Linda's story, she arrived at the Los Infiernos shelter in murcia, Spain, in December 2023, severely malnourished, with a bad staph infection leading to constant mucus from her nose. We could also see she had a lot of difficulty breathing, though we didn't yet know the cause. Despite all this hardship she had been through, she is such a lovely cat, who

adores head scratches and loves to play.

One of our volunteers at Whisker Warriors decided to take her into foster and start the journey to finding out what is wrong, because after trying 5 different courses of antibiotics at the shelter nothing was helping.

This meant seeing some specialist vets and having multiple tests, including culture swabs, blood tests, x-rays, 3 rhinoscopies and finally a CT scan which lead to her diagnosis. This diagnosis has come with a hefty price tag.

What's the diagnosis?

Linda was born with a genetic defect called bilateral congenital choanal atresia, which basically means her nose doesn't connect to her airways, something that needs to be fixed.

We, the volunteers, love Linda, and we just want her, like all of our cats at the shelter, to have the best possible chance of a good home and the best life.
