Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
My name is Marcie Chana. Around 7:00 PM on July 5th, 2024, our family home in Prosser, Washington was destroyed when a fire engulfed our parents' home, leaving my brothers, Leonard and Harlan, with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
This year has already been incredibly challenging for us. After losing both of our parents to cancer, our dad in May 2023 and our mom in January 2024, this fire is a devastating blow. My brothers now have to start over.
To make matters more difficult, my older brother faces significant mental health challenges that prevent him from working. This has hit him hard, and the uncertainty of their current situation is incredibly stressful.
The fire suspiciously started in the alley behind the shed in the backyard and quickly spread within minutes. We are incredibly grateful to all the fire departments, firefighters, and police officers that were there.
I am reaching out on behalf of my brothers, for help during this time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping my brothers rebuild their lives. Your generosity will go towards essentials like clothing, toiletries, and temporary housing until insurance steps in.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help you can give to help my big brothers.
