On November 15, 2020, conveniently a day before my 20th birthday, my mother Simone, whom I love very much & is my absolute world, was rushed to the emergency room & had to undergo emergency surgery.
My mother, Simone, is an incredibly strong woman with an amazing heart. She was born in San Francisco, CA, in 1965, & is the second youngest of 7 children. She grew up in poverty & faced many hardships throughout her youth, including racism, abuse, a toxic household, homelessness, & the deaths of her mother & two brothers. However, those events made her into the resilient, independent woman she is today, & she became very successful later on in life. She got married at 27 & had two wonderful children, V (20) & A (11). She has a degree in business & a certificate in veterinary assistance. She loves music, animals, makeup, traveling, trying new things, reality TV, desserts, fashion, cardio, & most of all, her two daughters.
My mother being rushed to the ER was completely unexpected & quite shocking. Unfortunately, our family has been struggling financially for the past few years & the pandemic doesn't help one bit. America's healthcare system is extremely broken & it would be greatly appreciated if you could donate a few dollars to help make my family's sudden situation a bit easier.
