This is Remy and she hasn’t been feeling good lately. Over the past five days she has stopped eating and had increasing vomiting. Her owner reached out to the Street Medicine team for advice which is how I got involved. The Street Medicine Team works closely with the Harrisburg community with unstable housing for both resources and healthcare. Remy’s owner currently is unable to afford her vet care but a few friends were able to help get her to the vet. Here’s where we need help: her vet bill. She has a bowel obstruction and we are trying conservative management. The vet said it’s 50/50 on if she will need surgery. Her observation hospitalization is pricy already and unfortunately this will just increase if she needs surgery. Please help Remy out with her current bill. She has been sweet throughout everything and just needs to get back to her person. If somehow we surpass our goal, all extra money will help pay for her food and any preventative care she may need.
