The situation in Arizona has reached a breaking point. As a Black intersex trans woman, the increasingly hostile legislation against my existence has escalated to dangerous. Between the shifting political landscape and the militant scrutiny of both ICE and my fellow citizens, the assault on my safety has been endless and ever-evolving. I am pursuing relocation to Portland, Oregon with the aid of the amazing people at the WERQ Together organization, but in order to guarantee my security, I need your support. I have been unable to drive and earn an income for the past two years due to the severity of my chronic illness and disabilities. Portland’s robust public transit system and inter-connected cityscape would connect me to opportunities to thrive and take care of myself despite my limitations.
