Max's PetER fundraiser

On Oct 27th my life took a sharp turn. My beloved Lexi unexpectedly passed away. While in the ER with Lexi I was informed my foster Max’s crate was covered in vomit. Due to the sudden passing of Lexi and Max’s symptoms both Max and Rain were admitted to the pet ER for supervision and treatment for potential poisoning.  After 48 hours of supervision both dogs were released and our consciences were eased that none of them had gotten into anything that could hurt them. Upon arriving home Max continued to vomit and was declining fast. After multiple x-rays it was determined that a foreign object was lodged between his stomach and intestines; Max needed emergency surgery. His surgery took over 4 hours due to the location of the object. It had wedge past the stomach in his intestine, next to his pancreas. The surgeon had to cut his intestines to remove the object. The surgery was successful but Max is still at risk for pancreatitis and infections.
Max has a long road to recovery ahead of him; after surgery he was stable, but didn't want to eat, this has extended his prolonged stay at the Pet ER. They allowed me to visit every day to help with his depression due to the fact he could not go home until he could keep food down. He spent a week at the PetER. I'm fundraising to help pay for Max's PetER visit; I did not have the chance to save Lexi and could not allow the opportunity to save Max pass me by. This boy deserved a chance to live and any donation will go directly to Max’s medial expenses.  Max is my foster, and rescue funds are low.  He’s up for adoption once he’s recovered.
Thank you
