Educational Experience of a Lifetime

Hi, my name is Lynda. I'm a single mother of three wonderful young children. My son "Jack" has autism and has maintained a general education (not special education) since kindergarten. Jack is an amazing young man with curiosity, every expectation placed before him has been met with hard work. Unfortunately his biggest challenges are routed in social understanding OR misunderstanding of the world around him. I've always believed the best action for this challenge is to expose him to community and social experiences as often as possible. Jack has an amazing opportunity to travel with a school program to New York and Washington DC. Due to Jack's autism, it is required that I accompany (chaperone) him on this Educational Experience of a Lifetime. We have applied for financial aide through the program, and we are happy to accept their grant, however, the remaining cost for this trip is more than I make at my full time job. I would love to be able to provide this experience for Jack but I need help.
