Hello! My name is Brittany. On 1-29-24 I was commuting from Somerset, KY to Murfreesboro, TN. While driving on a long country road just over the state line I spotted something. A very afraid lame dog.

I quickly pulled over into a local gas station to see what was going on. She was clearly injured and very afraid. After much coaxing she finally let me near her. I just knew I could not leave her in the ditch I found her. I scooped her up only then relizing the severity of her limp leg.

In my car she melted. Like she knew she was safe for the first time ever and although in pain she knew she had been rescued. While she was very thirsty and hungry it seemed that most of all she was happy!

We took her to the vet when I arrived home. The vet believes she is about 9 months old and was likely thrown from a car! I am not a doctor but as soon as I saw her xrays I knew things were bad.

She is in desperate need of surgery for her broken leg and hip. Dr believes saving her will require 2 surgeries. My single family income was in no way prepared for this new unexpected cost.

The Dr's words were "she's a sweet dog and she deserves a chance" He is absolutely right. Myself and family have already grown very attached to her in the 24 hours of knowing her. Infact we have even given her a fitting name. Maple; which means strength and endurance. (Also because our 3 year old wanted to name"his new puppy" "Tree" lol)

She has her whole life ahead of her. I need your help to help her. I ask for whatever you may spare. 100% of donations will be used for her care. (Including shots and other standard care.)
