Hi. We are doing this in the hopes of helping Marla Lane. Despite being vaccinated, she contracted covid on August 23rd. She spent nearly a month in the hospital and two weeks of that time was spent on a ventilator. She came through the Covid but unfortunately due to a long period of inactivity she needed extensive therapy to be able to walk and do a lot of the normal things most of us take for granted. After being released from the hospital she went to a local Beaver County nursing home for therapy. At that time she was in wonderful shape despite not being able to walk, the care she received there was so subpar that in 6 days time she was in terrible shape with a Urinary Tract Infection. The family quickly removed her and she went back to the hospital where it took a week to undo all the problems that were caused by that facility. She was then moved to another Beaver County nursing home and was beginning to improve. Unfortunately at this time her insurance began to refuse paying for her rehabilitation. This started the process of appeals and endless phone calls. After 3 weeks in this second nursing home she was then transferred ,due to the insurance company, to yet a third facility and is still there at Rochester Manor and undergoing wonderful therapy which has her currently able to walk with a walker. She is doing great and making wonderful progress but still has quite a way to go.

Unfortunately the stress of having to pay close to 10,000 per month out of pocket is not helping matters, if you can find it in your heart to help no matter how large or small, Marla and her family would be eternally grateful.
